Exciting Outdoor Addition Ahead of Easter!

The team here at Active Kids are thrilled to soon be able to unveil a brand-new immersive play area within our 11 acre Outdoor Adventure Park. The new outdoor play area is thoughtfully designed for children under seven. This sensory-rich environment features a Little Explorers Tower, an early years adventure trail, swings, a trampoline, sensory and music panels and a charming farm cottage equipped with its own slide. The play area incorporates a variety of textures, including artificial grass, colourful Perspex panels, cobbles and rubber mulch, to offer a structured and dynamic way to engage the senses. This enhancement to the Outdoor Adventure Park facilities is the first phase of a wider refurbishment programme that is due to take place throughout 2025. Ahead of summer, the park is due to replace its original fort structure with a robust wooden ensemble of towers, nets, and climbing equipment which also has a series of interactive wall activities throughout. A rubber mulch flooring will ensure accessibility for all visitors, providing a safe and inviting space once open in early summer. To bring these exciting new play areas to life, Active Kids partnered with Playscheme, one of the country’s leading bespoke playground equipment specialists. Playscheme was selected for their expertise in crafting innovative and inclusive play environments that align with Active Kids’ ethos of sensory adventure and accessibility for all. Their designs incorporate imaginative play, physical challenges, and sensory-rich experiences, ensuring that every child, regardless of ability, can enjoy the magic of outdoor play. “We are excited to be expanding our offering at Active Kids as we are committed to creating dynamic and inclusive play environments that inspire adventure and creativity in children of all ages.” said Rowland Thomson, Business Manager at Active Kids Adventure Park. Admission to the outdoor adventure play area will be £8 per child and £4 per adult until the fort refurbishment opens, after that prices will increase to £11 per child and £5.50 per adult. Indoor adventure play sessions start from £6.95 per child and £3 per adult. Open daily from 9.30am – 4.30pm.
