As the school holidays are now well underway, we are busier than ever welcoming families into our adventure park. We are also delighted to share with you more details of the exciting work going on to refurbish our indoor spaces.
We are currently redeveloping our indoor spaces to create an all-year-round adventure play experience for children and enable families to enjoy our play facilities throughout the year – whether it’s sunny, raining or even snowing!
We are delighted to share an artist’s impression of the new play barn, showcasing a treehouse themed indoor play space with a variety of obstacles, bridges, tunnels, climbing nets and slides as well as plenty of interactive play spaces for younger children.
The indoor space also includes two new indoor party rooms, a new toy shop and an outdoor south facing terrace as part of the new café as well as the treehouse themed indoor play area.
The team here at Active Kids can’t wait to see the work completed, but are keen to reassure people that we are still open and welcoming lots of children during the summer holidays into the park’s outdoor areas.
While the work is set to be completed by spring 2023, the Active Kids team are keen to reassure visitors that the adventure park is still open, with all outdoor areas still accessible for children to explore. As well as the outdoor play areas, there is an array of farm animals for children to visit including goats, sheep, chickens and donkeys.
“We know how popular Active Kids is with families for outdoor play,” says Rowland Thomson from Active Kids Adventure Park. “It has been brilliant seeing the refurbishments take shape. Our new indoor spaces are going to be incredible when they’re completed.
Of course, we are still open and it’s been very busy during the school holidays with lots of families enjoying a fantastic day out.”
